Lambert Smith Hampton negotiate new
lease on Haverhill industrial units

Acting on behalf of Smurfit Kappa Corrugated UK Limited, Lambert Smith Hampton’s Cambridge office has negotiated a surrender of their existing lease at Units 4&5 Lime Grove Industrial Estate in Haverhill to enable a new lease to be granted to BFS Pressroom Solutions Limited.


Units 4&5 Lime Grove Industrial Estate comprises a modern industrial unit extending to 15,449 sq ft. BFS Pressroom Solutions initially showed interest in sub-letting the property but agreed to take a longer term to facilitate the surrender deal disposing of the leasehold liability held by Smurfit Kappa Corrugated UK Limited.

Commenting, Nick Thompson of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) said: “In the current market we are dealing with a number of this style of transaction. Landlords are proving very receptive to securing a new tenant on a longer lease term than is remaining on their current lease. It also means that the original tenant can walk away losing all liability of a property which is surplus to their requirements.”

BFS Pressroom Solutions were already located in Haverhill and this transaction has enabled them to move into larger premises allowing growth of their business.
